Life’s Healthy Journey
At the crack of dawn, I wake up to the sound of chirping birds and start my day with a smile. I believe in starting with positivity, and nothing sounds more positive than the chirp of a bird greeting a new day. The first step of my healthy life journey begins with being happy.
With a heart full of gratitude, I set off for my morning walk around the nearby park, a sea of green that serves as the lungs of the city. The park walk is my favorite. It’s not just walking; it is my rendezvous with nature. I take off my shoes and walk barefoot on the dew-kissed grass, feeling the cold, moist earth beneath my feet. It’s refreshing and grounding, a therapy known as ‘earthing’. It not only improves my sleep but also reduces pain and stress. Just me, the morning sky and the earth beneath – it’s a moment of solace in this busy, bustling city life.
After the walk, I sit on a bench in the park and meditate. Away from the noise, away from technology, it’s a moment of being completely present in the breath and the moment. As I inhale and exhale, I visualize letting in positivity and releasing stress and worry. This ten-minute meditation makes me feel light and centered.
As the sun starts to rise, I head back home to prepare my breakfast – a colorful bowl of fruits and nuts with a drizzle of honey. It’s a bowl of life, teeming with antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fats. I believe in feeding my body the right fuel, and nothing’s better than nature’s own produce.
Hydration is a key part of my healthy journey, and I ensure I always have a glass of water by my side. Every two hours, I drink a glass of water, reminding myself that this simple act of hydration is vital for my overall health.
Every afternoon, I take a break from work and practice yoga in my living room, soaking in the mid-day sun. Yoga is not just physical exercise for me; it’s a journey within. It strengthens my body, calms my mind, and opens my heart.
My dinner is always light and easy to digest, usually a bowl of soup with a lot of veggies and a piece of grilled fish. After dinner, I spend some time with a book, allowing my mind to travel across pages while my digestion does its magic.
Before bed, I make sure every gadget is off and the room is dark and quiet. A good sleep environment is crucial for quality sleep. As I lie down, I take a moment to reflect on my day, the moments of joy, and the lessons learned. This self-reflection helps me grow.
